He connects with people, capturing their values, dreams, and passion...。部影片是根据天津搬运工人集体创作的的同名舞台剧改编拍摄的，它真实地描写了搬运工的遭遇和在党的领导下所进行的不懈的斗争，生动地再现了解放前后这一历史交点上特定的工人斗争史。。玛利亚（齐雅拉·马斯楚安尼 Chiara Mastroianni 饰）和理查德（班哲明·比欧雷 Benjamin Biolay 饰）在年仅二十岁的时候就结了婚，然而，两人之间的感情被漫长的岁月给消磨殆尽。某日，理查德发现玛利亚出轨了，理查德虽然对此感到愤怒和绝望，但是他的内心里，依然深深的爱着玛利亚。最终，玛利亚决定离开这个没有感情的家庭，可是她并没有走远，而是住进了马路对面汽车旅馆的212号房间，在这里，她能够透过窗户观察理查德。她想要思考一些形而上的问题，找出什么才是生命中最重要的东西。。
