Then eventually, after much confusion and chaos, the righteous anger of people changes to pure ou...。一个名叫埃里克·泰勒的美国背包客在欧洲旅行期间神秘失踪，这看似平常的事件却引起了一向我行我素的女记者卡门·伯克（辛蒂·山普森 Cindy Sampson 饰）的关注。根据埃里克的日记，卡门和男友马库斯（阿隆•爱什莫 Aaron Ashmore 饰）、助手莎拉（梅格汉·赫凡 Meghan Heffern 饰）前往波兰的某个偏远乡村寻找线索。虽然受到当地人极不友好的对待，但是林中的奇怪迷雾、当地的神秘宗教以及埃里克的行踪都令卡门欲罢不能。在迷雾中他们见到了诡异的雕像，同时也离失踪的埃里克越来越近，却也将自己置身于莫大的危险之中。小村平静表象下的秘密逐渐浮出水面，死神的脚步声也渐次清晰起来……。
