本片为程刚导演、辛汉白编剧，可谓早期的「监狱风云」。故事描述，香港在1953至1955年，曾被警方称为最黑暗的时期，那时候罪恶泛滥，百弊丛生，一日可发生三十二宗惊人案件，而犯罪份子有百分之四十是积犯；英廷特派专员来港调查监狱的措施，发现狱中不良份子，滥用权力，公报私仇，歪曲政府的监狱制度，造成犯人越变越黑，监狱变成地狱。影片主角江才（刘永）因不甘受探长侮辱，结果被控妨碍公务，判刑一年零八个月……。千万不能停下来…… 新干线行控中心响起了一通紧急电话，来电者声称已在开往东京的隼60号列车上放置炸弹，更开出1000亿日元的天价赎金，否则列车时速低于100公里便会引爆，顿时将铁路人员推向与死神赛跑的危急边缘。隼60号于铁道上呼啸前进，最后会化险为夷，或者驶向毁灭？ 影片翻拍自1975年的电影《新干线爆炸案》。。Monk and his friends arrive in New York to locate the man whom they were told has information about Trudy's murder. When they arrive at the hotel, the Latvian ambassador who is also staying there is killed. Monk saw the killer but only his ear.
