The two only meet when it's a must but when they do, they go through several misadventures that lead them to reevaluate their lives and discover the special meaning they hold for each other.。福建晋江的围头村与金门岛隔海相望，今年“七夕”情人节这天，围头村要举办“返亲节”，“返亲节”的内容就是“围头村”嫁到金门岛的新娘回家探亲。为了办好“返亲节”，村长决定由村小学的学生组建一支“啦啦”队在“返亲节”上表演，“啦啦”队由村里的体育老师负责排练，四个顽皮的孩子被选进了“啦啦”队，他们不愿意暑假的玩乐时间被排练占据，想尽办法逃避每天的排练。体育老师终于忍无可忍将四个孩子开除，可四个孩子却觉得被开除很丢人，他们重新回到“啦啦”队认真排练，开始协助体育老师将舞蹈排练成功……。
