窦胜雪(杨怡饰)本是盐枭之女，无意中救了聂致远(马浚伟饰)，却不知他原来是官家派来调查盐帮之探子。结果在致远的引路下，胜雪父亲(郭峰饰)的盐帮被官兵杀过鸡犬不留。逃脱性命的胜雪独立支撑整个局面。 此时致远又再次出现，与胜雪再度相对，本来贩卖私盐是触犯王法，可是从胜雪口中，致远却发现平民此举实在是迫不得已，而且官盐交易内亦存著种种贪赃枉法。从这一点点盐，致远看到了天下百姓的困苦。。Paul Gregory is sprung from jail in London by his accomplice after getting a stretch as expected for robbing a woman who falls for his charms. Only he knows how to get to the money, but his partner is getting greedy and as things turn sour Gregory finds that home in Canada is a long way away。
