品的舞台是一个被「天歌」所支配的世界。「天歌」是由幕府直属的最高爱获（顶级偶像团体）·新选组建立的。而对于幕府的行动感到疑惑和愤怒的志士们，则通过摇滚的力量展开革命斗争…。李翰祥執導的《佛跳牆》共有四個單元，首個故事是描述一對母子因施予濟公一碗豆漿而逃過喪命之危；其二則說濟公幫助賣菜漢，逃離高利貸者的滋擾；其三則寫濟公以櫻桃化夜明珠，將大盜教訓一頓；最末一則是描寫濟公以巧計捉弄胡作非為的相爺父子。李翰祥借濟公的善行，針貶權貴惡霸的種種惡行，為平民大眾吐一口烏氣。。When the world is in danger, superheroes come to rescue humanity. they are stronger, faster, smarter than ordinary people and are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of others.
